A seven-man lineout where the ball is thrown straight down the line of touch to the tail jumper, who steps into the line to take it with a lifter either side, and pops it straight down to a forward who has peeled round from the front of the line. By the time the ball arrives, the defence’s last man is already drifting out towards 10, so the peeler hits the channel beyond the 15 m line at full pace, with the jumper and a lifter tight on their inside shoulder. Too early and the peeler overruns the ball; too late and it’s a static catch.
